Update on the J John Tour so far!

Hi everyone! I wanted to give you an update on recent events, and let you know what's coming up.

I had the privilege of playing Spring Harvest's 'After Hours' this year and had such a great time. Thank you to all of the people who turned up and made the gigs special. There were a few moments that made these events some of the most moving and rewarding shows I've done in a while.

After a quick turn around and several hours driving through cabbage fields (not literally) after Spring Harvest, I embarked on the first week of the 'J John and Friends Tour 2010.' We started in Port Talbot and had a great first evening. Our second event was held in a small town called Tonyrefail (we never did get the pronunciation right) but this event was SPECIAL! We all fell in love with the people there and heard amazing stories about the journey of the pastor and his wife, and basically saw the Grace of God up close! The evening was fantastic and one thing I'll never forget and learned is that 250 welsh folk singing 'Amazing Grace' = 1000 British folk! The roof nearly came off the chapel. I think everyone should visit Tonyrefail.

Our final event of the week was in Reading at Greyfriars church. The evening went well and it was so lovely to sing out in such a beautiful building.

This weeks events are as follows:

Monday 26th April
City Gates Christian Centre, Ilford
Ticket Hotline: 020 8514 0188

Tuesday 27th April
St. Stephens, Twickenham
Ticket Hotline: 020 8892 5258

Wednesday 28th April
Christian Life Centre, Hereford
Ticket Hotline: 01432 271071

If you can make one of these events it would be well worth it! Whether you believe in God or not, you'll laugh, cry, be moved, and definitely be challenged.

I'll keep you posted with any hilarity worth telling about and hopefully see you all somewhere along the tour.

God bless ya'll.

NIcki R xxx

Update and J John and Friends tour April and May 2010

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to all of you who have ordered the new album 'Once in a while.' I am so pleased with the response to the album and am excited at the opportunities to tour the record over the next year!

The recent tour with Jeff Lucas, CWR and Compassion UK was fantastic, and we laughed and cried our way through the week. All good stuff. Compassion UK gained a good number of new child sponsors which is fantastic and puts everything in perspective. I'm acutely aware at the moment with all that has been happening around the globe, Haiti being the main catalyst, that it is so important for us to do our part. This tour showed me that all we need to do is look at what is in front of us and do that! We don't need to become complicated, it's so important to not get paralysis. Simply do what is in front of you to do.

I'm so pleased to tell you all that I'll be touring once again with J John and friends this Spring. We had such a great time in September and October last year that we're doing it again!
I'm going to put the venues on this home page, but they will also be on the tour page and will be updated with any changes there. So have a look to see if we're near you!

That's all for now, will keep you updated!

God bless y'all

Nicki

<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="1100" style="border-collapse:

Touring, the new album and special thanks!

Hey guys! All well on the western front! I'm LOVING the tour with J John and
friends and can you believe we are half way though! It has been
hilarious and moving! We're really loving seeing people moved by some
of the video footage for Compassion UK
and have seen so many people sponsor children over these last 4 weeks!
We have also loved visiting all the different cities and towns in the
UK and made some great new friends! A highlight for me was being taken
to the top of Liverpool Cathedral and seeing the views! I was terrified
the whole time, not just because of the height also because I was told
that if the bells toll when you are up there the sound would be so
immense that it would actually kill you!!! I had to be convinced that
bell ringing never occurred on a Monday!

You may see from the store that the new album is now available to purchase and to download! Thanks to Kris
Morris for his super help! Not only can the boy sing and write but he's also a technical super hero! Thanks Kris!!

Also MASSIVE thanks goes out to photographer Nicholas Dawkes
who took the stunning photos for my album! Those who have the album may
notice that Nick's details are missing from the credits....that's
because I'm a complete idiot!!! Many of you have already asked for
Nick's details so please click this link to view other amazing
photography from the man himself! Nicholas Dawkes Photography

So
I'll update you next week on any news but life is good! The new album
has been amazingly received and I am overwhelmed with peoples emails
and encouragement! If you haven't got a copy yet...what are you waiting
for?? It's really good! (Am I allowed to say that?)

Ciao!

Nicki xxxxx

New Album Limited Edition & Start of J John Tour Sept - Oct 2009

Hi guys! I wanted to update you on a few very exciting things! Firstly I am one week away from my third album release as a limited edition! Like it says on the tin it is being released as a limited edition only for the months of September and October as I embark on a two month tour with the wonderful communicator and writer J John. I am SO SO excited about the new album and I hope many of you will get a taster and support me in releasing the album officially in 2010. It is sounding so great and is a reflection of where I am musically and personally to date! Graeme Duffin and Sandy Jones have put heart and soul into the making of this record and as a result it is gold!

The new album is called 'Once in a While' and is only available at live events until official release next year. I'm hoping to be able to post some reviews on here in the next few weeks so that you can hear for yourselves what people are saying about it! I'm going to post the full dates of the next two month tour so that any of you wishing to come along and hear the new stuff and get yourselves an album know where to come!

Thank you to all of you who have faithfully waited for new material and I hope that you really enjoy what you hear!

Check out the tour dates below and see some of you on the road!

Nicki x

This September and October we hit the road!
For two months we - that is J.John, with musician Nicki Rogers and
actors and presenters Dave Hill and Michael John - will be touring the
UK. September marks 30 years of ministry for J.John, so the multi-media
evenings - with interviews and music - will also feature a short
historical film.

The tour will cover much of the UK and is supported by Compassion, Wesley Owen, UCB and Authentic Media.

Singer-songwriter Nicki Rogers, an Associate of Philo Trust, has
toured with J.John in the past. She has released two solo albums, Colour Scheme and Feeder Lane, and she is in the middle of recording her third.

Michael John and Dave Hill will be the presenters on the tour. They
have impressive and varied CVs including radio, TV, live drama and
documentaries.

If you're planning to come, be prepared to be entertained, inspired and challenged. There will be quite a lot of laughter!

The tickets will be £5 each which will not only
allow you entrance, but will double up as a voucher that is redeemable
when you buy resources* during the tour.

We strongly advise booking in advance.

* Terms and conditions apply

Update March 2009 Ethiopia, Compassion and more on the new record.

Hi everyone!

I just got back from one of the most amazing weeks of my life so far! I had the opportunity to visit Ethiopia with Compassion UK alongside J John and several other of his associates from around the UK. For those of you who don't know anything about this charity, Compassion works through local churches overseas to release children from economic, social, physical and spiritual poverty. Though child sponsorship, many hundreds of children, and families have their lives transformed. I cannot express enough how powerful an experience this trip was. As someone who perhaps has a tendency to look for problems and holes in sponsorship programmes and development strategies, I have come away convinced that this charity truly makes an incredible difference! I sponsored a little boy called Samuel, who is just 3 years of age and lives with his mother and four other brothers. Because of sponsorship Samuel will always have health checks, treatment for any health issues, clothes, shoes on his feet, nutritional care, spiritual care and schooling. These are basic rights that every child should have, and if I can just spare less that £20 a month (1 trip to Starbuck's each week) someone else gets their human right!

If you are in a position where you are able to sponsor a child for just £18 a month then follow this child sponsorship link.

On the music front, I have finished my second week or recording the new album, which is due to be finished by the summer! Woo hoo! It's sounding great, and I'm so excited about finally having some new material to share with you all. Colour Scheme, my first album is in the process of re-press and will be available through this site again within the next couple of weeks at a cheaper price! Bargain.

I have several new gigs which will be updated on the gigs page. I'm playing several Christian festivals this year as well as continuing with individual venue shows.
I am recording again in February in Scotland with Graeme Duffin and Sandy Jones and so far the music is sounding fantastic! I'll write a little bit more about the album soon, so that you have an idea of what to expect.

I am currently working with J John throughout January and February in Chorleywood. Please check out the link to find out more about these amazing events.

Please sign up to the mailing list if you would like information on upcoming gigs, and the new album.

Thank you once more for your support! Stay in touch.

God Bless Ya'll.
